Caer Ibormeith is the Celtic goddess of dreams and prophecy. She is a shapeshifting goddess who spent time as a swan. In Celtic mythology, swans are associated with love, the soul, and otherworldly music. Caer (pronounced Keer) is called on when seeking guidance from the dreamworld, opening us to receiving prophetic dreams.

Call to Cáer Dream Tea is deeply calming and relaxing, designed to be sipped on in the evening to release tension from the body and mind and encourage a restful nights sleep.

The plant at the centre of this blend is Passionflower, which is sedative, antispasmodic and hypnotic. It’s commonly taken as a tea or infusion to aid sleep, remedy disturbed sleep patterns and calm a looping mind. Passionflower is also utilised to alleviate anxiety and restlessness. It is blended with

  • Lime/Linden leaf and flower - said to hold the highest vibration of motherly and grandmotherly love, Linden is grounding, calming and nourishing to the heart. She also has sedative and antispasmodic actions;

  • Waterlily - described as mindfulness in a cup, waterlily (commonly and incorrectly called blue lotus) adds a level of decadence, invitation and openness to mystery by quieting chatter of the mind and melting tension in the body, welcoming a state in which we are able to surrender nourishing rest and dreaming; along with

  • Chamomile - a well known carminative and relaxant which can also help relieve cramping, gas and bloating, and Licorice root to make this tea mildly sweet and hydrating.

The herbs in this blend - particularly the Passionflower, Waterlily and Linden - can be called on for dreams and to open the heart and third eye.

  • Dried organic Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata), Waterlily, (Nymphaea caerulea), Lime/Linden (Tilia sp.), Chamomile (Matricaria recutita), Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra).

  • Each pouch contains a single intact flowerhead of waterlily. Break apart on opening and use across multiple servings.

    For a single serve, cover 1-2 tsp (depending on desired flavour and strength) of dried plant material with hot water and infuse, covered, for 20 minutes or more. An infusion can also be made by simmering the plant material for a few minutes in a covered saucepan. Covering your cup/saucepan prevents the medicinal constituents of the plants from evaporating with the steam.

    Strain and sip ideally in the evening or any time when calling on restful sleep or dreaming. Can be sweetened with honey, however the presence of licorice root in this blend provides a subtle sweetness without overpowering the gentle flavour notes of the other plants.

    50 grams yields approximately 16 serves

Coming home from night shift and having your tea to welcome me home is bliss.
